Banana Bread

Banana Bread, I believe, is one of the most popular baked goods.There’s no one who loves baking is not familiar to this quick bread. The ease to make, the natural taste and muffin-like texture have made this Banana Bread many pp’s favourite and it can be served anytime of the day. It can be served at breakfast w a cup of tea/coffee, or after meals as dessert, or a light brunch, u name it. Banana Bread falls under the category of Quick Breads, which means it is leavened w either baking powder and/or baking soda n is made by simply combining the wet ingredients w the dry ingredients.

Crispy chocolate muffins

…were the last “kitchen-work” of Friday night :) It’d been such a long long time since I last baked muffin. And for chocolate muffins to be more accurate, it must have been more than 1 year I hadn’t made any at all :D :P

Irish Soda Scone – A 30-min breakfast

I came up with the idea of writing a post about Scone as I feel so lazy cooking today :P Scones don’t seem to be very popular here in Finland where I’m studying, and neither they are in my home country in Vietnam – I don’t even know how to translate this word to Vietnamese when I tell my friend about this kind of baked good :D Scone originates in Scotland and it is basically similar to Bread, to be more accurately, Soda Bread, as it rises because of the baking soda, not from yeast. This belongs to the family of “Quick Bread” – those you never have to knead for real :D (that’s totally awesome – I’m always afraid of kneading :P ) (more…)
